Seniors 6/30/2009

Today we started with a fire work theme! We mad a dot and we made a firework where Natalia blew up. Then we went to the park and played Ultimate Football. Joe made an awesome catch in the end zone. A lot of great catches by all campers! We went to gymnastics and played in the pit. Then we worked on vault. Later we will be playing exploding enchiladas after lunch!

Juniors 6/30/2009

Stars and Stripes week has started off with a bang! This morning Kyle had some great ideas for acting out fireworks - the flying X and shooting star! After warm ups, we played in the pit and practiced our vaults. We then played an exciting game of fish sticks, where Marguerite gave 110%. At the park, we played Ultimate Frisbee for the first time! All the campers had a blast. After swimming and lunch, we plan on playing a rousing game of freeze tag and sports court. We hope to beat the rain!

Sophomores 6/30/2009

Today has been an crazy day, having it sprinkle on and off, but it's nice and cool out while we play our games which is just perfect! We started out by coming up with a fire cracker action called "The Sprinkler" and also a design for the sky, we did a smiley face! At SwimWest we ate snack and listened to James read us another awesome Zak files book, "Dr Jeckle Orthodontist." After we played a giant game of Trenchball with the Freshman where Anna and Marina did a great job showing Sportsmanship! We are all excited for gymnastics and the park later!

Freshman 6/30/2009

Today has been swim-tastic! We started out by pretending to be fireworks! We invented the "Zipper" and "Razzle Dazzle Splits." After watching everyone else show off their fireworks, we bussed to Swim West. Once we arrived, we had a snack and listened to another story in our favorite series "The Zack Files." James does great voices, so everyone really gets into the story. When we finished our snack we headed to the field for a great game of Trenchball with the Sophomores. Zach really held his own! Brady got the counselors out a lot. After some splashing and fun during swimming lessons, we'll eat lunch then hop on the bus to return to Badger. When we get there we'll play some soccer and maybe a game of world cup! Don't forget to pack a sweatshirt on the windy days, and wear your Red, White, and Blue tomorrow!

Seniors 6/29/2009

Today is a nice relief from the heat of last week. We started out the day in the park playing a game of world cup. We tried to fit two games in but were having so much fun we ran out of time. The game we finished was won by Joe and Henry, they played really hard! Kiernan and Austin helped out a lot once they were eliminated by throwing balls back in bounds. After the park we went to the gym and Austin set the record for the day with 37 spins on the bar. This afternoon we are doing a watermelon contest, hopefully it stays nice outside!

Stars and stripes forever started out with 4th of July warm-ups. We are the Flaming Firework Football Players, and Kyle J.'s creative cheer won us warm up! Today at the park we played an intense game of world cup and Cuba won over Switzerland in the final round! Still the best is yet to come, this afternoon is watermelon games!

Sophomores 6/29/2009

Today we got in groups, made up a team name and action to go with it; we chose the flaming fireworks. Then we got on the bus and headed to SwimWest where we had shack and a watermelon spitting contest. We then played exploding enchiladas. Liliana, Corrine, and Marina have had excellent behavior today; way to go girls! We are having fun in the water now, and are looking forward to gymnastics after lunch. Hopefully the rain will hold off so we can go to the park!

Freshman 6/29/2009

What a fantastic morning! The weather is perfect today for being outside, so we played an exciting game of Exploding Enchiladas with the sophomores on the Sport Court! We enjoyed a snack of watermelon and then a watermelon seed spitting contest! Alexis & Jenna did an awesome job spitting their seeds far. After swim lessons and lunch, we'll head to Badger for some football and then gymnastics!

Seniors 6/25/2009

Finally a little break from the blistering heat, it's only in the mid 80's. Today the seniors started out with a very intense game of world cup at the park. It was well contested and in the end Nick and Alex won as the team representing the former countries of the USSR. All of the teams/ countries played very hard. After world cup we walked back to Badger and did gymnastics with directions from the gymnasts. This afternoon we are going to Keva and are going to play Ultimate Dodgeball. Joe and Matt are really pumped as are all the campers. It should be a blast!

Juniors 6/25/2009

Gymnastics was cool in more ways than one! We had an awesome "stick it" contest and Alex T. mastered the pick kick with ease! The park was hot but fun. We played a great game of world cup in the heat. Quickly the counselors were eliminated by team Mexico! This afternoon is Keva and an awesome game of ultimate dodge ball! The campers are really pumped!

Sophomores 6/25/2009

We started off this beautiful, but slightly hot day with 3 new karate moves. Carson came up with he bowling attack where both he and Peter rolled around like bowling balls to knock the rest of us over. Our counselor Sarah, came up with the spinning punch, where you spin around while punching forward and lastly Anna came up with the super kick. After our warm up we were off to Keva where we played an exciting game of ULTIMATE DODGE BALL! As always, it was a huge hit with all of the kids! Now we're off to swimming lessons to cool off followed by lunch, gymnastics and the park! What a day today and we're all very very excited for Governor Dodge tomorrow!

Freshman 6/25/2009

Today has been a blast! We started today with coming up with three Karate moves. After demonstrating our awesome moves we boarded the bus to KEVA! Keva was fantastic. We were able to play ultimate dodge ball with the sophomores. Takumi did a great job sneaking up behind counselors and getting them out. Jenna and Claire did a great job helping people. They would come up, ask who got you out and go after them for you. Then we bussed to SwimWest for swim lessons and lunch. After lunch, we'll play T-ball and have a super gymnastics lesson, complete with air track!

Seniors 6/24/2009

Today we started with warm up and went to the park. We played kick ball. Austin kicked the ball so far he made it all the way to third base! Andrew made two amazing catches, one he even dove for. Gymnastics was so much fun! We worked on parallel bars and rings. After swimming we are going to play water games! We can't wait!

Juniors 6/24/2009

We started our day mimicking an office, which was tricky but we succeeded! Gymnastics was also spectacular, we worked on parallel bars, high bars, and balance beam. We then replenished with snack and toughed the sun with some kickball. Audrey and Cooper were great campers today, full of smiles and enthusiasm! After swimming and lunch, we'll be up for more games and water!

Freshmen 6/24/2009

Its been another hot one, so we changed into our swim suits, lathered on the sunscreen and ate snack. After we enjoyed a short story, we joined the sophomores for a little octopus-octopus with sponges and a sprinkler. It felt awesome to be wet in this warm weather. After this refreshing game, we jumped into the pool for our swim lessons. Then we ate our lunch and boarded the bus for Badger. Once at Badger, we will work on our soccer skills and then play world cup. After that we will have snack and gymnastics!

Sophomores 6/24/2009

Today during warm-up we had to make a garden out of our group, so all the other campers could guess what we were acting out. We then headed to SwimWest on the bus, where we changed into our swim suits and had snack. During snack, James read us a story. We loved it! We then headed to the field to play octopus-octopus. The counselors tagged us with wet sponges, it was so much fun! Aprupa, Emma and Savannah all have done so well today, they constantly listened well and are respectful to everyone. We are now swimming, we like this because it helps us cool off. We are looking forward to gymnastics and then playing inside so we can beat the heat!

Seniors 6/23/09

What a scorcher! Thanks goodness for the air conditioning at B.G.A. Today we started out playing 21 questions while the juniors took their turn in the foam pit. We also played intense games of Battleship before we moved to the floor with the gymnasts. Sam did a great job as did Susie on the hand stand fall flats. When we moved to the foam pit for jump-ins and flips Abe and Andrew displayed excellent foam pit jumping form! This afternoon we are going to stay cool by swimming in the pool at SwimWest and going down the water slide outside.

Juniors 6/23/09

Oh man, it's hot out there! We've been staying cool with gymnastic, indoor fun, and lots of water! In gymnastics we worked on our tricks in the pit and played an awesome game of fish sticks. After getting energized during snack, we went camping and played battleship. Hailey Collins was an awesome "camper"! We plan on swimming and using the water slide for the rest of the afternoon. We are well prepared for this scorcher!

Sophomores 6/23/09

We started off the day playing a game of Guess What 2 skills were doing to survive on an island, our group did fishing and boar hunting. Our boars were Peter and Carson, both of which did an excellent job. Next we went over to SwimWest were James read us "Fox in Sox", after that we had snack and went down the water slide and had a balloon toss. We're now at swimming lessons which we were so excited for swimming. After lunch were going back to Badger to do gymnastics and play games inside.

Freshman 6/23/09

We have been riding the heat wave! It has bend a fantastic ride thus far. We started today by getting into our swimsuits and lathering on the sun screen. We then had a snack and read a short story. After this break we started our ride again. We joined the sophomore team for some fun on a water slide. We also had time for a water balloon toss before heading in for swim lessons. This afternoon we are excited for some indoor games at Badger followed by gymnastics.

Senior 6/22/09

I was excited to start Week 2 with a few fresh faces and many familiar ones. We started out the day by coming up with our group name. Matt chose the name The Carebears and everyone agreed on it. After beginning our day with everyone the seniors went to the park for a game of capture the football. It was a very good game and all of the kids, despite the heat and humidity showed great energy while playing. Joe made a few nice throws and catches in wins for his team. After Capture the football in the park we walked back to Badger and gymnastics led us through some fun activities. This afternoon may be hot so I am looking forward to possible free swim time.

Juniors 6/22/09

The Bobby Jr. French Fries started the day off great! We even won the cheer contest with our enthusiasm and creativity! We had a fun day at gymnastics, climbing like a spider and riding the boat on the trampoline! Even though the temperature was daunting The Bobby Jr. French Fries played an intense game of capture the flag. Swimming lessons came as a great reprieve from the heat and to cool off later we are planning on playing some outdoor water games, such as drip drip splash and octopus octopus with the hose! It's just another awesome day at Swim & Gym!

Sophmores 6-22-09

The Pac-Man's

Today we got in groups and made up a team name for the week along with a cheer; we chose the pac-man. After that, we hopped on the bus to go to SwimWest, where we played tennis. We did drills and king of the court. We then had a snack and changed into our swim wuits for outdoor water games. Emma, Liliana, and Aprupa showed great enthusiasm and participation. We had a blast playing drip-drip-drop, everyone was full of smiles. We are currently in swim lessons, and are really excited for gymnastics and playing at the park!

Freshman 6-22-09

Running Ducks

To beat the heat today, we joined the Sophomore groups to play a wet & wild game of "drip-drip-drop." After getting thoroughly drenched, we showered and hopped in the pool for a nice cool swim lesson where we worked on our strokes and kicks. After a break for lunch, we'll head over to Badger for a game of Alaskan Baseball then some gymnastics.

Seniors 6-18-09

We started our day in the park playing baseball. Travis had a few nice hits, and Henry and Kiernan both displayed great sportsmanship! After baseball we went back to Badger for some gymnastics. John did some pretty impressive cart wheels during floor drills. This afternoon we are excited for line tag or another round of exploding enchiladas. We are looking forward to Karate too!

Juniors 6-18-09

Did you know the Juniors are some excellent dancers? It's true! We came up with some unique moved including the spinning top, catch the worm, and sprained ankle. Spectacular! After warm ups we all participated in air track, trapeze, and relays with forward roles, which made us a bit dizzy! We recovered with a delicious snack and stellar game of baseball. The weather was perfect! After a cool down in the pool, we'll have lunch and get ready for Karate lessons - so exciting! And a special shout out to Alex, who showed great sportsmanship, optimism, and participation at the park!

Sophomores 6-18--09

We started off the day by making up dance moves. The dancing hot dog by Carson, the fire power by Anna, and point fingers and kick by Lelina. Then we bussed over to SwimWest where we played charades, had snack and played Trench Ball with the entire lower camp! After Trench Ball we had swimming lessons and are looking forward to gymnastics and KARATE @ 2:00! What a day!

Freshman 6-18-09

Today has been super! We started today with having to come up with three dance moves. Ramsey and Alexis had some awesome suggestions that were used! We bussed to SwimWest where we played team charades. Some of the things we acted out were cleaning a house, playing basketball, camping and grocery shopping! It was a lot of fun to see the creative ways they came up with to demonstrate their action! After a fantastic snack of carrots and Cheez-its, we headed to the Sport Court with the sophomores to play an intense game of trench ball. AJ did great at helping his teammates escape from the trench by throwing the ball as far as he could! Takumi and Drew worked very hard to get people on the other team out, and to free their teammates from the trench. We're very excited to head over to Badger after swimming for some indoor games! At the end of the day - we have a surprise! Karate Lessons!!!!

Seniors 6-17-09

Today we stared off with an exersize making up three krate moves. The three chosen were the worm, the wood pecker punch, and the rolly polly. After we finished, we went to the park to play kick ball. We showed a lot of team work through how we took turns playing pitcher. Nick got one of the outs in the last inings. Payton kicked a line drive by third base. Then at gymanstics the girls worked on the balance beam while the guys worked on the mushroom, rings nad the pommel horse. After swim lessons and lunch we go to KEVA to play dodgeball!

Juniors 6-17-09

Turbo kick, head butt, and swirling tornado - Hi Yah! We started our day creating three awesome karate moves. It was fantastic. During gymanstics we did the pommel horse, high ring, balance beam, ribbons and other skillful gymanstic events. Grace was especially graceful on the balance beam! After a light snack, we headed to the park and played a great game of kickball - we never let gloomy weather stop us! After swim lessons, we're off to KEVA! Ultimate Dodgeball and capture the football will ensue! Oh yeah, Joel got to spend the day with us - we're some lucky campers!

Sophomores 6-17-09

Today we made up three karate moves that went with our group name, The Dragons! The, we bussed over to Keva where we joing the freshman in a large game of ultimate dodgeball; we had a blast! We had a quick snackand then played duck-duck-goose! Savannah, Kayla, Anna and Carson demonstrated excellent participation and enthusiasm. We then came back to Swim West, and are having a great time in the water. After swimming we are going to eat lunch. We are really looking forward to gymnastics and playing more games at the park!

Freshman 6-17-09

Flying Boomerang Tigers of Wisconsin-
Today rocked! Its crazy sock day, and it was sure crazy! AJ came in some pretty crazy socks, and so did Ramsey! Ben did a fantastic job at decorating some new crazy socks. After showing our Ninja moves we got on the bus to go to KEVA! We joined with the sophomores there to play an intense game of Ultimate Dodgeball! Alexis did a great job of being a good sport! Henry used his super speed and was able to tagout all of the counsolers! We played until we worked up huge appetites, then we stopped fro a snack break. After snacks we played a great game of duck-duck-goose. Brady ran really hard when he was the goose but Claire got away just in time! When the bus came we went over to SwimWest for our swim lessons. We had a lot of fun working on our strokes, then we had a ball war against the instructors during free time! This afternoon we'll go back to Badger for some football and capture the football, then we'll end our day with gymnastics!

Seniors 6-16-09

Today we all started at badger and our task was to make a "living room" out of people. Spencer was a news reporter with the help of Henrik. Then at the park we played world cup. Nick and Joe picked Canada and won both times due to their great teamwork skills! Later we will be having open swim and then dodge ball games. We can't wait!

Juniors 6-16-09

The lightning lizard turbo shoes had another eventful morning! Today we had tons of fun learning all the different ways to jump into the pit at Badger Gymnastics. We also did stradle and squat on jumps. One of the favorite moves was the handstand fall flats! As an ending game we played lifeguard with the parachute as well as a couple minutes of freeze tag! It was awesome! At the park we plaed world cup soccer adn showed awesome sportsmanship! Swimming lessons are going great and later today we are going to play an awesome game of dodgeball, maybe even counsolers v.s. campers! That's the best!

Sophmores

6/16/09

We started off this beautiful day in the blue gym at Badger Gymnastics where we played "Guess what room in the house?" Emma and Camryn did a great job in making the television! Alexis had great sportsmanship. Then we were off to SwimWest where we played basketball followed by a fun game of sharks and minnows followed by a game of red light, green light. Then headed inside for lessons! After lessons we had some time for some free swim! After lunch we have gymnastics which everyone has been talking about all day long!

The Flying Boomerang Tigers of Wisconsin (Freshman Group)

6/16/09

Today has been fantastic. We started the day by pretending to be a garage. In the garage we had Z cars with 4 people in each and an awesome garage door. After cheering on the other groups we boarded the bus for SwimWest. Once we arrived we played get to know each other games where we learned each others favorite movies and colors; we also got to throw a ball when we remembered another person's favorite thing. Then we had a scrumptious snack of juicy apple slices. During snack we relaxed to a story and also had the chance to make our own story! Afterwards we practiced our basketball skills and had the chance to play knock out. Claire used her awesome skills to win at this highly exciting game. Ben and Joseph did an awesome job working together as knocker outers. We are very excited about lunch after swimming and returning to Badger Gymnastics for a fun filled afternoon of games, gymnastics, and teamwork!

Jalapenos (Senior Group)

6/15/09

Today in the beginning of the morning everybody was so happy and excited to see all their friends they made last summer. Then we started warm ups. Our team name is Jalapenos because we are spicey. When we went to the park we played an intense game of capture the football. Joe caught the first game's winning point. The campers wanted to play campers versus counselors and the campers crushed the counselors. After that we started gymnastics, Eli and Alonso showed amazing spirit by attempting every manuever on the bars. Later we will be playing lightning, I don't want this day to end!

Lighnting Lizard TURBO shoes (Junior Group)

6/15/09

Lighnting Lizard TURBO shoes had an awesome morning! We started with gymnastics we did hand stands, trampoline, and bars! After snack we went to the park and played capture the football. For one game we played campers versus conselors! It was a blast, everyone showed great sportsmanship. We then bused over to SwimWest where we had swimming lessons and lunch. The campers are really excited to end the day on the sport court!

First Day of Camp!

Today was our first offical day of Camp! Lots of hard work was done by our Camp director and Counselors as well as Office Staff to make our first day of Camp awesome! We could not have asked for a more beautiful day.
