We started off the day with 3 new Karate moves. Our moves were The Jalopy, Get the Chicken, and the Kicking Worm. Anna thought of the Jalopy, Carson; Get the Chicken, Marina thought up the Kicking Worm. Then we went to SwimWest where we began the book, "I'm Out of My Body, Please Leave a Message," during snack. Then we practiced basketball drills and relays during which the entire Sophomore group did an amazing job of cheering! We're all having fun at swimming and are super excited for gymnastics and the park!

Freshman 7/2/2009

"Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting, their kicks were fast as lightning. It was a little bit frightening because they fought with expert timing." Today we started with showing off some of our Kung Fu moves today. We demonstrated the hand stand kick, the twisting punch and the Kung Fu splits. A.J., Jenna, and Zack suggested these moves. After cheering on every one's moves we boarded the bus for SwimWest. Once we arrived we put on sun screen, read and had snack. We then worked on our basketball skills. Didi and Noah did an awesome job scoring. This afternoon we are doing track and field activities and gymnastics. Don't forget to wear your green shirts tomorrow for the field trip. Have a great 4th!

Seniors 7/1/2009

Today we settled a four way tie from yesterday by seeing which group had the best American Monument and then did the best impression of an American Flag. The freshman won by doing a Grand Canyon and a stellar flag impression. After that we went to the park and played capture the football. Henry did a great job on Mr. Clean's team and Spencer did a great job on Jake's. We are going to KEVA for Ultimate Dodgeball this afternoon I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!!!

Juniors 7/1/2009

Warm up today was very imaginative we had to make an American Landmark with our bodies, we decided to be the white house complete with mini presidents! We split gymnastics girls and guys and had fun with hula hoops and the uneven bars. At the park we had a lesson in sportsmanship while playing Capture the Football. It may be chilly out but we are going to heat up Keva with our enthusiasm for Ultimate Dodgeball!

Sophomores 7/1/2009

Today we got into our groups and had to make a national monument and flag using everyone from our group. This was a blast! Then, we bussed over to KEVA where we had snack and then played ultimate dodgeball; Joel always gets us out! Maise, Liliana, and Forest have been well behaved and very enthusiastic today! Great job guys! Now we are having fun swimming, and soon it will be lunch time. We are excited for gymnastics as always and can't wait to play more games at the park! We LOVE red, white, and blue day!

Freshman 7/1/2009

Today started with a bang! We began by making the Grand Canyon and the flag. We then loaded the bus and headed to KEVA! At KEVA we played Ultimate Dodgeball where there were some serious alliances. AJ and Alexis did an awesome job sneaking up on people (especially counselors) and getting team out! It was then time for swimming. This afternoon we have T-ball and gymnastics! Wa-hoo! The gymnastics girls will love our patriotic clothes!
