We then headed to SwimWest on the bus, where we changed into our swim suits and had snack. During snack, James read us a story. We loved it! We then headed to the field to play octopus-octopus. The counselors tagged us with wet sponges, it was so much fun! Aprupa, Emma and Savannah all have done so well today, they constantly listened well and are respectful to everyone. We are now swimming, we like this because it helps us cool off. We are looking forward to gymnastics and then playing inside so we can beat the heat!

Seniors 6/23/09

What a scorcher! Thanks goodness for the air conditioning at B.G.A. Today we started out playing 21 questions while the juniors took their turn in the foam pit. We also played intense games of Battleship before we moved to the floor with the gymnasts. Sam did a great job as did Susie on the hand stand fall flats. When we moved to the foam pit for jump-ins and flips Abe and Andrew displayed excellent foam pit jumping form! This afternoon we are going to stay cool by swimming in the pool at SwimWest and going down the water slide outside.

Juniors 6/23/09

Oh man, it's hot out there! We've been staying cool with gymnastic, indoor fun, and lots of water! In gymnastics we worked on our tricks in the pit and played an awesome game of fish sticks. After getting energized during snack, we went camping and played battleship. Hailey Collins was an awesome "camper"! We plan on swimming and using the water slide for the rest of the afternoon. We are well prepared for this scorcher!

Sophomores 6/23/09

We started off the day playing a game of Guess What 2 skills were doing to survive on an island, our group did fishing and boar hunting. Our boars were Peter and Carson, both of which did an excellent job. Next we went over to SwimWest were James read us "Fox in Sox", after that we had snack and went down the water slide and had a balloon toss. We're now at swimming lessons which we were so excited for swimming. After lunch were going back to Badger to do gymnastics and play games inside.

Freshman 6/23/09

We have been riding the heat wave! It has bend a fantastic ride thus far. We started today by getting into our swimsuits and lathering on the sun screen. We then had a snack and read a short story. After this break we started our ride again. We joined the sophomore team for some fun on a water slide. We also had time for a water balloon toss before heading in for swim lessons. This afternoon we are excited for some indoor games at Badger followed by gymnastics.

Senior 6/22/09

I was excited to start Week 2 with a few fresh faces and many familiar ones. We started out the day by coming up with our group name. Matt chose the name The Carebears and everyone agreed on it. After beginning our day with everyone the seniors went to the park for a game of capture the football. It was a very good game and all of the kids, despite the heat and humidity showed great energy while playing. Joe made a few nice throws and catches in wins for his team. After Capture the football in the park we walked back to Badger and gymnastics led us through some fun activities. This afternoon may be hot so I am looking forward to possible free swim time.

Juniors 6/22/09

The Bobby Jr. French Fries started the day off great! We even won the cheer contest with our enthusiasm and creativity! We had a fun day at gymnastics, climbing like a spider and riding the boat on the trampoline! Even though the temperature was daunting The Bobby Jr. French Fries played an intense game of capture the flag. Swimming lessons came as a great reprieve from the heat and to cool off later we are planning on playing some outdoor water games, such as drip drip splash and octopus octopus with the hose! It's just another awesome day at Swim & Gym!

The Pac-Man's

Today we got in groups and made up a team name for the week along with a cheer; we chose the pac-man. After that, we hopped on the bus to go to SwimWest, where we played tennis. We did drills and king of the court. We then had a snack and changed into our swim wuits for outdoor water games. Emma, Liliana, and Aprupa showed great enthusiasm and participation. We had a blast playing drip-drip-drop, everyone was full of smiles. We are currently in swim lessons, and are really excited for gymnastics and playing at the park!
